Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-2) **Company:** V7 AI Solutions LLP **Location:** Bangalore **Experience:** 3–5 Years **Employment Type:** Full-time **Job Summary** V7 AI Solutions is looking for an experienced **Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-2)** to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience in automation testing, API testing, CI/CD, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks. * Develop automation scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python. * Automate web applications using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks. * Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or automated API frameworks. * Validate backend services, databases, third-party integrations, and microservices. * Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, smoke, and E2E test suites. * Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. * Analyze test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. * Participate in code reviews and improve engineering quality standards. * Improve automation coverage and testing processes. * Support Shift-Left Testing practices. * Contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing. * Maintain automation reports, documentation, and quality metrics. * Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers. **Required Skills** * 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing, Automation Testing, or SDET. * Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python. * Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation tools. * Strong knowledge of REST API testing. * Experience with Postman and automated API testing. * Good understanding of SQL and database validation. * Experience testing backend services and microservices. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines. * Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. * Good knowledge of Git and version control. * Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies. * Experience with defect tracking and test management tools. * Strong analytical and debugging skills. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with TypeScript and Playwright. * Experience with React or Next.js applications. * Experience testing Node.js or NestJS applications. * Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases. * Experience with Docker. * Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter. * Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP. * Experience with AI-assisted testing tools. * Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. **What We're Looking For** * Ability to independently own automation for features or modules. * Experience designing reusable automation frameworks. * Strong understanding of Unit, Integration, API, UI, and End-to-End testing. * Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. * Ability to debug issues across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure. * Strong collaboration and communication skills. * Passion for building reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions. **Key Skills** SDET, Test Automation, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, API Testing, REST API, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, SQL, CI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, STLC, SDLC, Agile, Microservices, Postman, Docker Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Benefits: * Food provided * Provident Fund Application Question(s): * How many years of hands-on experience do you have in test automation?
